Key Responsibilities of a Backend Engineer

• Architect and implement resilient, secure, and scalable backend services and APIs utilizing Node.js.
• Collaborate effectively with front end developers, product managers, and diverse stakeholders to define and deliver innovative features.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code, upholding the highest standards of quality and performance.
• Manage and optimize database schemas and queries for both SQL and NoSQL environments.
• Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to modern best practices.
• Monitor and meticulously troubleshoot production issues to guarantee system stability and unwavering reliability.
• Contribute meaningfully to architectural discussions and decisions, actively shaping the future direction of our backend infrastructure.

Essential Qualifications for this Backend Role

• Demonstrated experience as a Backend Engineer with a minimum of 3+ years in backend development.
• Advanced proficiency in Node.js, coupled with practical experience using leading Node.js frameworks (e.g., Express.js, NestJS).
• Profound understanding of database systems, encompassing both SQL (specifically PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL solutions (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
• Extensive experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs within microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with prominent cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure, including deploying applications in these environments.
• Solid foundational knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object oriented design principles.
• Exceptional problem solving capabilities and the proven ability to excel both independently and as a collaborative member of a distributed team.
• Strong, clear communication skills, enabling effective articulation of complex technical concepts.

• Hands on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with message queuing systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
