The Opportunity: Server Engineering Manager, Member Experience

We are actively seeking an Engineering Manager to spearhead our Member Experience server team. This critical role encompasses the entire member lifecycle, from a prospective member's initial application through onboarding, payments, and ongoing renewals. The scope includes application and acceptance processes, authentication and login, onboarding flows, subscriptions and in-app purchases (including Raya+), reactivation strategies, referral programs, and member communications.

This position offers a unique chance to work on net-new, scalable payment systems rather than maintaining legacy infrastructure, providing high ownership and direct impact on revenue.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Lead and manage software development teams with a focus on server-side technologies.
• Collaborate closely with leadership, product managers, designers, and data team stakeholders to achieve significant business impact.
• Demonstrate strong project management skills and a proven ability to deliver on commitments.
• Possess deep knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript.
• Be familiar with modern cloud architectures, services, deployment models, and distributed systems.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience managing software development teams.
