About You

Are you a seasoned Functional QA Analyst with extensive experience in ensuring the quality, usability, and reliability of software applications through rigorous functional testing? We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional who excels at validating business requirements, executing comprehensive test cases, and precisely identifying defects. You are adept at collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and are committed to contributing to the continuous improvement of QA processes. What You Bring to Applaudo:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of dedicated experience in software testing, with a strong emphasis on functional Quality Assurance.
• Proven expertise in executing manual test cases across various testing phases, including functional, regression, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Familiarity with test automation concepts and the ability to execute automated test scripts effectively.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies.
• Experience working within Agile development environments (Scrum, Kanban, DevOps).
• Proficiency with leading test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Zephyr).
• Familiarity with SQL for data validation and executing basic queries.
• Experience using API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform testing principles.
• Familiarity with version control and collaboration tools (e.g., Git, Confluence).
• Awareness of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and how QA integrates within them.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, fostering effective teamwork.
• English proficiency at a B2 level or higher.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Analyze detailed business and technical requirements to design comprehensive test cases.
• Execute manual tests across a range of scenarios, including functional, regression, integration, and UAT.
• Execute automated test scripts and thoroughly analyze the results to ensure accuracy.
• Identify, meticulously document, and track defects through to their resolution.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and product owners to clarify requirements and ensure alignment.
• Provide insightful feedback on potential quality risks throughout the entire development lifecycle.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Prepare and maintain essential test documentation, such as test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
• Generate comprehensive test reports and metrics to effectively track quality and testing coverage.
• Ensure robust traceability between requirements, test cases, and identified defects.
• Support exploratory testing efforts to uncover usability and workflow issues.
• Contribute proactively to the continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices within the team.
