Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement secure systems and applications across our infrastructure.
• Conduct comprehensive security reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments for new and existing products.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain security tools, automation scripts, and monitoring systems to detect and prevent threats.
• Stay abreast of the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies, actively proposing and implementing improvements.
• Mentor junior security engineers and contribute to a culture of security awareness across the organization.
• Participate in on call rotation for critical security incidents.

Requirements

• Proven Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a dedicated security engineering role, preferably in a high scale, distributed systems environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in programming languages such as Python or Golang, with a solid understanding of secure coding principles.
• Cloud Security: Extensive experience with cloud security platforms, particularly AWS, including services like IAM, Security Groups, VPC, Lambda, and more.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Hands on experience with Docker and Kubernetes security best practices.
• Network Security: Deep understanding of network protocols, intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Cryptographic Fundamentals: Strong grasp of cryptographic principles and their application in securing data in transit and at rest.
• Incident Response: Demonstrated experience in security incident response, forensic analysis, and post incident remediation.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non technical audiences.
• Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve complex security issues independently and as part of a team.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the blockchain, cryptocurrency, or fintech industry.
• Familiarity with penetration testing methodologies and tools.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or GDPR.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or equivalent.
