About This Role

As a Product Engineer, you will be instrumental in building and scaling the systems that bring SafetyWing's vision of a global social safety net to life. You will leverage cutting edge technologies to develop clean, scalable solutions, playing a crucial role in shaping both our products and internal processes. We are a rapidly growing team that thrives on creativity, innovation, and collaboration. Our tech and product teams work closely to create products that empower remote workers worldwide, while also contributing to the strategic direction of the company.

What We Are Looking For

• A strong foundation in backend development, specifically with Java (Kotlin experience is a significant advantage).
• Practical experience in developing product backend services with a focus on clean, scalable code.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
• A solid understanding of the full product development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• A keen curiosity for new technologies and a passion for integrating them into your work.

• Kotlin and Java with Micronaut.

• Redux, Redux Toolkit, and React Query.
• Styled Components and Tailwind CSS.
• MySQL with Hibernate and Liquibase.
