About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, Core Services at Binance, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining highly scalable and resilient backend systems that power our global cryptocurrency exchange. You will contribute to critical infrastructure, ensuring high availability, low latency, and security for millions of users worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, and deploy robust, high performance, and scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Optimize existing systems for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues efficiently.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of technical excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, with a strong focus on Java.
• Proficiency with Spring Boot framework.
• Extensive experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Hands on experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the financial or cryptocurrency industry.
• Knowledge of high frequency trading systems.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and shell scripting.
