About This Role: General Manager, Nomad Insurance

The Nomad Insurance team operates autonomously, overseeing its individual product line which includes:

• Nomad Essential: Our foundational travel medical insurance product, a primary revenue driver since its launch.
• Nomad Complete: A rapidly expanding health insurance product tailored for digital nomads, currently at a "Series A stage" of growth.
• Nomad Citizen: An MVP-stage social safety net product, featuring income protection and initial digital citizenship functionalities.

This is a unique opportunity to scale products across different maturity stages, directly contributing to our vision of a global social safety net. As the General Manager for Nomad Insurance, you will take end-to-end ownership of the product. This pivotal role combines the responsibilities of a product leader and a growth leader. You will be accountable for the product's overall success, encompassing everything from strategic definition and user experience shaping to ensuring flawless operational execution. Additionally, you will lead the Nomad Insurance team, comprising growth, engineering, and design professionals, fostering a joyful and productive environment. We are seeking an innate entrepreneur who deeply understands our users' lifestyles, possesses the acumen to position and expand products effectively, and can galvanize a team around a clear vision: to achieve a 10x product scale, growing from $30 million to $300 million, and ultimately realizing the ambition of a global social safety net and digital citizenship.

Your Core Responsibilities Include:

• Serving as the comprehensive owner of Nomad Insurance, you will be responsible for problem solving, achieving product and growth objectives, and ensuring alignment with SafetyWing's broader company strategy and vision.
• Acting as the advocate for our Nomad Insurance customers, ensuring an exceptional experience and developing products they genuinely love and enthusiastically recommend.
• Collaborating with the product team to establish product goals, prioritize features, and drive product improvements.
• Leading and mentoring the Nomad Insurance team, guaranteeing that the team remains well organized, engaged, and highly productive.
• Managing crucial internal and external relationships necessary for the successful operation of the product.
