The Role: Product Designer

As our Product Designer, you will be a key driver in the design and development of our innovative products. This role goes beyond crafting visually appealing designs; it’s about infusing depth and meaning into the user experience while upholding our core values.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end to end product design initiatives from initial concept to final implementation.
• Continuously improve design processes and propose strategies to elevate the quality of our design outputs.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, fellow designers, and engineers to ensure consistency across all design outputs.
• Drive the evolution and ensure adherence to SafetyWing's design system.
• Present compelling product design ideas to cross functional teams and senior leadership.

What We Are Looking For

• Demonstrated advanced product design experience through a strong portfolio of impactful design solutions.
• Proven experience designing user experiences within regulated sectors such as insurance, finance, or similar compliance driven industries.
• Ability to design beyond the screen, meticulously considering dependencies, user flows, and long term product architecture to create coherent and scalable solutions.
• Proficiency in using leading design and prototyping tools, specifically Figma, and a commitment to continuous learning of new features.
• Experience in conducting usability testing to validate and refine designs.
• Exceptional communication skills to clearly articulate design ideas and champion design principles to diverse audiences, including both design and non design stakeholders.
• A strategic thinker who can look beyond immediate design tasks and understand the broader business and product strategy.
