About the Role

Join Tested Recruits as a Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain the server side logic and core infrastructure of our innovative hiring platform. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for building robust, scalable APIs and services, ensuring high performance, and contributing to the overall technical architecture. We are seeking a talented developer who thrives in a remote first environment and is passionate about solving complex challenges to enhance our product.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy efficient, scalable backend services using Go and Python.
• Integrate with various databases, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.
• Collaborate with front end developers and product managers to define API requirements and ensure seamless integration.
• Implement and maintain robust security measures for all backend systems.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews, contributing to a culture of high quality and best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.
• Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks and system vulnerabilities.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) and/or Python.
• Extensive experience with designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of database systems, both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Proficient with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies.
• Understanding of caching mechanisms and distributed systems.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
• Exposure to blockchain technology or Web3 concepts is a plus.
