The Role: People Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and proactive People Operations Manager to join our growing team. This role is crucial for fostering a supportive, efficient, and engaging environment for our globally distributed workforce. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing people strategies, processes, and systems that support our unique remote-first culture and enable our team members to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies aligned with SafetyWing's mission and growth objectives.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, offboarding, and all administrative tasks.
• Oversee global HR compliance, ensuring adherence to labor laws and regulations across all operational countries.
• Administer and optimize HR systems (e.g., HRIS, ATS) to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
• Manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and equitable.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive, inclusive company culture.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to team members and leaders on all HR related matters.
• Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions, with fairness and professionalism.
• Lead and support organizational development initiatives, including training and development programs.

Who You Are:

• Proven experience in a People Operations or HR Manager role, preferably in a remote-first or globally distributed company.
• Strong understanding of global HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust across diverse teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast paced environment.
• Proficiency with HRIS and other HR technologies.
• A passion for building exceptional employee experiences and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Problem solving skills and a proactive, solutions oriented approach.
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of responsibilities.
