You are a skilled DevOps Engineer with extensive hands-on experience in cloud environments, dedicated to developing reliable, scalable, and automated solutions. You will take full ownership of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and deployment processes, ensuring efficient and high-quality software delivery. You are comfortable operating in production environments, managing cloud infrastructure, and providing crucial support to development teams by implementing DevOps best practices. You bring a strong problem-solving approach, capable of troubleshooting complex issues, optimizing system performance, and enhancing overall operational efficiency. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with engineering teams to streamline workflows, improve system reliability, and enable continuous delivery. Proactive and detail-oriented, you can manage tasks independently while maintaining a strong focus on quality and performance.
Competencies You Bring to Applaudo
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (preferred), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience in DevOps and cloud environments.
- Proven experience working effectively in production environments (beyond labs or support roles).
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks autonomously.
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Experience managing Azure App Services and Azure Functions.
- Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and Docker Compose.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Bicep (nice to have).
- Experience with messaging and integration services such as Azure Service Bus and Event Grid.
- Hands-on experience with observability tools including Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- English proficiency (B1+ or higher).
Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines to facilitate efficient and reliable software delivery.
- Manage and provision cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices within Azure.
- Administer and maintain cloud environments, including Kubernetes (AKS), App Services, and serverless architectures.
- Define and implement robust deployment strategies, such as blue/green and canary releases.
- Establish effective rollback mechanisms and versioning strategies to ensure system reliability.
- Configure and maintain comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like Application Insights, Log Analytics, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Design and manage secure networking configurations, including virtual networks (VNETs) and private endpoints.
- Automate operational and infrastructure processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Support development teams by actively promoting and implementing DevOps best practices.
- Continuously optimize cloud costs and system performance within Azure environments.
