Job Summary

As a Senior Android Engineer specializing in Futures Asia, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing new, user-facing features for our global Android applications. This role requires delivering high-performance, stable, and efficient code that offers an exceptional user experience and elegant design. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, integrate third-party APIs, and contribute to the technical vision of our mobile platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement innovative user-facing features for our global Android applications.
• Deliver high-performance, stable, and efficient code, ensuring an excellent user experience and elegant design.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to define, design, and seamlessly ship new features at scale.
• Integrate and optimize third-party data sources and APIs to guarantee accurate and real-time performance.
• Develop and execute comprehensive unit tests to ensure robustness, reliability, and usability, covering all edge cases.
• Proactively troubleshoot issues, fix critical bugs, and continuously strive to improve application performance.
• Actively participate in technical, architectural, and product discussions, contributing significantly to both short-term execution and the long-term strategic vision.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Over 5 years of proven experience as an Android developer, coupled with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java, along with a solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Deep knowledge of Android system architecture, component lifecycle, and UI rendering processes.
• Skilled in utilizing Jetpack components such as ViewModel and Room, and networking libraries like Retrofit and OkHttp.
• Hands-on experience with architecture patterns like MVVM/MVI, developing modular application structures, and managing large-scale projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in performance optimization across memory, layout, battery usage, and cold start times.
• Proficient in using profiling tools including Profiler, Systrace, Perfetto, and LeakCanary.
• Experience with WebSocket and real-time data processing, with familiarity in high-concurrency and low-latency scenarios.
• Bonus points for experience with Flutter/Compose, large-scale application architecture and refactoring, or a background in cryptocurrency exchanges.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a collaborative team player mindset.
