About the Role: Senior Manager, FP&A

Camunda is seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to serve as a key finance business partner for either its Corporate or Go to Market (GTM) organization. In this critical role, you will assume full ownership of the respective P&Ls and develop sophisticated, driver based financial models that address some of the most impactful questions in SaaS finance today. Your work will involve determining optimal plans, identifying strategic investment areas, and guiding necessary course corrections. You will collaborate directly with the Senior Leadership Team on vital investment decisions, headcount planning, and unit economics. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and developing a Senior Financial Analyst within your team. This position is part of Camunda's global Finance team, reporting to the VP of FP&A, and will work closely with other FP&A leads. The scope of this role is expected to expand in line with Camunda's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Partnership: Act as the primary finance partner to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), providing financial insights and support for decisions related to hiring, investment prioritization, and resource allocation.
• P&L Ownership: Manage the end to end P&Ls, including budgeting, monthly forecasting, detailed variance analysis, and delivering concise "what changed, why it matters, what we do next" narratives for leadership.
• Financial Modeling: Design, build, and continuously refine driver based financial models, such as the long range plan, bookings model, and various ad hoc analyses to support strategic decision making.
• Planning & Forecasting: Lead key planning cadences (annual, quarterly, monthly outlooks) and integrate inputs from business partners into the corporate forecast, working in conjunction with other FP&A leads.
• Team Leadership: Oversee and mentor one Senior Financial Analyst, defining priorities, and elevating the quality and speed of financial analysis.
• Systems & Automation: Take ownership of Adaptive Planning administration and maintenance, and spearhead the development of AI augmented workflows to enhance FP&A efficiency and scalability.

What You Bring

• Ability and/or willingness to utilize Camunda's product.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in FP&A or strategic finance, including direct partnership with C Level executives, and/or Chief Revenue/Marketing Officers.
• Proven direct people management experience, including hiring, coaching, and managing the performance of finance team members (beyond just mentoring or leading projects).
• Profound understanding of SaaS cost structures and unit economics, encompassing cloud/hosting costs, Cost of Goods Sold (CoGS) vs. Operating Expenses (OpEx), and gross margin drivers.
• Demonstrated expertise in driver based modeling, with the ability to forecast based on usage and consumption drivers rather than simply trending actuals.
• Hands on experience with enterprise planning platforms such as Adaptive, Anaplan, Pigment, Planful, or similar, combined with advanced spreadsheet proficiency. (Training on Adaptive Planning will be provided).
• An exceptionally clear, executive ready communicator who operates autonomously with a high degree of focus, integrity, and humility.

Nice-to-haves

• Specific experience with Adaptive Planning, as you will manage this instance.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.
• Experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Claude) to automate finance workflows, as this team actively integrates AI into daily operations.

Compensation & Benefits

Camunda offers competitive, fair, and transparent compensation. Salary ranges are adjusted based on location, differentiating between Standard and Major markets (global tech hubs) to reflect local competition. The Annual Total Target Cash (base salary plus 100% variable target, if applicable) provided below represents the spectrum from the minimum in a Standard market to the maximum in a Major market. Final offers are contingent upon skills, experience, and location, with typical hiring occurring in the first half of the range to facilitate career growth:

• United States: $179,400.00 to $289,200.00 USD
• United Kingdom: £112,600.00 to £185,300.00 GBP
• Singapore: S$222,800.00 to S$334,100.00 SGD
• Canada: C$190,500.00 to C$313,300.00 CAD
