Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst at Clutch

About the Role

Clutch is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to serve as a key financial partner for its Go-to-Market (GTM) organization, which includes Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial models and reporting that align pipeline, bookings, and spend with the company's revenue and profitability objectives. This position bridges Finance and GTM leadership, translating operational metrics into actionable financial insights to support smarter, faster investment decisions for the business.

What You'll Achieve

Within 3 Months:

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of Clutch's GTM structure, systems, and the monthly financial close and forecast calendar.
• Develop GTM reporting, including monthly variance analysis, KPI dashboards, and budget-versus-actual reviews, with guidance from the FP&A Lead.
• Establish strong relationships with key Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success stakeholders and participate in their team's planning and pipeline reviews.
• Familiarize yourself with current sales compensation plans and existing budget assumptions.

Within 6 Months:

• Independently manage the end-to-end GTM forecast cycle, encompassing headcount, commissions, and program expenditures.
• Become the primary finance point of contact for GTM leaders (e.g., VP of Sales or Marketing), addressing ad hoc requests and proactively identifying financial risks and opportunities.
• Contribute your first full board or Quarterly Business Review (QBR) package section dedicated to GTM metrics.

Within 9 Months:

• Solidify your role as a trusted advisor to GTM leadership, influencing critical decisions related to hiring pace, territory and quota design, and spend allocation.
• Lead a complete cross-functional analysis from inception, such as new market segment economics, a detailed campaign ROI analysis, or the impact of commission plan redesigns.
• Implement at least one process improvement that significantly reduces manual effort or enhances forecast accuracy.
• Provide support for pricing and packaging analysis, deal desk economics, and new market or segment investment cases as required.

What You'll Bring

• 2 - 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, investment banking, corporate finance, consulting, or RevOps/Sales Finance, preferably within a SaaS or subscription-based company environment.
• A strong understanding of key SaaS metrics, including Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Lifetime Value (LTV), and Net/Gross Revenue Retention (NRR/GRR), and their connection to GTM performance.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for financial modeling; prior experience with FP&A or Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, with the ability to extract and validate pipeline and bookings data.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating complex financial analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for non-finance audiences.
• Detail-oriented approach with robust organizational skills, comfortable managing multiple simultaneous deadlines such as monthly close, forecast cycles, and board preparations.
