The Opportunity: Product Manager, Core Membership Experience

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our Core Membership Experience team, where you will own crucial aspects of the member lifecycle, with a particular focus on payments. The Member Experience team manages the entire journey, from application and onboarding to activation, subscriptions, renewal, and reactivation. This pivotal role involves crafting experiences that transform accepted applicants into active members, ensuring a seamless process for members to initiate, manage, and reactivate their memberships, with payments at the heart of this journey.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate possesses 4+ years of product management experience, specifically in building consumer subscription products. Deep expertise in iOS payments and subscriptions, including Apple StoreKit and third party payment providers like Stripe, is essential. We are looking for a hands-on product manager who thrives on diving into details, collaborating closely with engineering, design, and data teams, and taking full ownership from problem identification through solution delivery and measurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end to end membership lifecycle, including onboarding, activation, payments, subscriptions, and reactivation.
• Develop a profound understanding of our membership and payment funnels, leveraging data to pinpoint opportunities, diagnose issues, and enhance conversion and reliability.
• Innovate and evolve payment experiences across Apple in app purchases and third party payment providers.
• Proactively identify problems and opportunities within the member journey and independently drive them to resolution.
• Manage the roadmap and execution for your product area, from problem definition and prioritization to launch and iteration.
• Lead a cross functional team encompassing engineering, design, and data, providing clarity, managing trade offs, and advancing work.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Four plus years of product management experience, including significant experience leading the day to day work of cross functional engineering teams.
• Proven experience owning consumer subscription products and the funnels that drive activation, conversion, retention, or reactivation.
• Deep production experience with Apple StoreKit payments and subscriptions for an iOS consumer product.
• Production experience with third party payments and subscriptions, ideally Stripe, for a B2C subscription product.
• Strong technical and analytical fluency, including experience collaborating with engineers on complex payment systems and utilizing funnel data to diagnose problems and measure impact.
• Demonstrated ability to own complex products from strategy through detailed execution and consistently deliver on commitments.
• A bias toward action, a strong ownership mentality, and a willingness to engage deeply with the details of the work.
