Job Summary
Binance is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding Binance's vast infrastructure, applications, and valuable crypto assets against evolving cyber threats. This position requires a strong understanding of security principles, practical experience in a variety of security domains, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment. You will contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust security solutions, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security solutions for Binance's cloud infrastructure, applications, and internal systems.
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability analyses, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate risks.
- Develop and automate security tools and processes to enhance detection, response, and prevention capabilities.
- Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and infrastructure deployment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
- Contribute to security policy development, standards, and guidelines.
- Provide security guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Security Engineer or in a similar cybersecurity role, with a focus on application, infrastructure, or cloud security.
- Strong understanding of security principles, including cryptography, network security, authentication, and authorization.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Golang, or Java, for automation and tool development.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and container orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with common web application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) and mitigation strategies.
- Knowledge of incident response procedures and vulnerability management processes.
- Experience with security monitoring tools, SIEM systems, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
