Key Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and continuously refine privacy-enhancing security controls and innovative solutions across all of Binance's diverse products and platforms.
• Proactively conduct thorough Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for every new feature, product, and service introduced.
• Foster close collaboration with our legal, product, and engineering teams to seamlessly embed privacy-by-design principles throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment.
• Develop, articulate, and rigorously enforce data privacy policies, stringent standards, and comprehensive guidelines, all in precise alignment with GDPR, CCPA, and all other pertinent privacy regulations worldwide.
• Execute detailed security reviews and comprehensive audits of existing systems and new applications to effectively identify and strategically mitigate any potential data privacy risks.
• Actively contribute to the critical incident response process specifically for privacy-related security incidents, encompassing thorough investigation and effective remediation efforts.
• Remain vigilantly up-to-date with emerging privacy technologies, evolving threat landscapes, and changing regulatory frameworks, providing expert advice on best practices and strategic improvements.
• Facilitate the education and training of internal teams on essential data privacy best practices and overall security awareness.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Bring a minimum of 5 years of progressive professional experience in security engineering, with a significant and demonstrable focus on data privacy.
• Exhibit a strong, foundational understanding of global data protection regulations, including but not limited to GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and various other relevant international privacy frameworks.
• Demonstrate proven hands-on experience with cutting-edge privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs), various data anonymization techniques, and advanced data security architectures.
• Show proficiency in utilizing a wide array of security tools and sophisticated technologies for comprehensive vulnerability management, stringent access control, and robust data loss prevention (DLP).
• Experience with robust cloud security platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and modern microservices architectures.
• Possess exceptional problem-solving acumen, strong analytical capabilities, and superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Exhibit the ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, dynamic, and globally distributed work environment.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CIPP, CIPT, CISSP, or equivalent security/privacy credentials are considered a significant advantage.
