Position Overview

You will collaborate closely with the Head of Investments to source, assess, structure, and monitor Bitcoin (BTC) lending opportunities. This role involves structuring innovative investment solutions and supporting the day-to-day operations of the investment team. Expect a dynamic, analytical, and highly collaborative environment with significant exposure to external counterparties.

Responsibilities

• Counterparty Due Diligence: Gather data, analyze financials, evaluate risk controls, and draft clear approval memos.
• Structuring: Assist in designing secured/over-collateralized lending structures, covenants, waterfalls, and margin frameworks.
• Portfolio & Risk Monitoring: Track exposures, limits, collateral, and early-warning indicators, then recommend appropriate actions.
• Modeling: Monitor general structured solutions, with proficiency in modern tooling being a plus.
• Counterparty Engagement: Schedule and lead portions of meetings, coordinate data rooms, and follow through on action items.
• Investment Documents & Legals: Contribute to term sheets, Investment Committee (IC) decks, and performance updates; provide input to loan documentation and scrutinize legal terms (security, covenants, remedies, margining) to align risk-reward and ensure protections.
• Creativity & Research: Propose new structures, pricing ideas, and opportunities to maximize within defined risk appetite.
• Process Hygiene: Maintain clean, current, and auditable diligence files, checklists, and dashboards.

Skills Needed

• 5-7 years of experience in investment banking, structured lending, credit, treasury, risk, or buy-side roles. Direct structured credit or margin/repo/collateralized lending exposure is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Credit Judgment: Demonstrated end-to-end counterparty due diligence (financials, liquidity, leverage, concentration, collateral analysis, covenants, early-warning indicators).
• Structuring Literacy: Familiarity with term sheets, security/collateral packages, covenants, margining, and basics of ISDA/CSA, GMRA/GMSLA, or loan agreements; ability to translate risk appetite into structure, triggers, and reporting.
• Risk Tooling: Practical use of stress/scenario analysis, sensitivities, and simple Value at Risk (VaR)/limit frameworks for decision support.
• Modeling: Experience with modern tooling and AI to optimize modeling scenarios.
• Documentation & Communication: Ability to produce crisp IC memos, red-lined edits, and concise counterparty communications; capable of owning meeting notes and action logs without supervision.
• Process Hygiene: Proficiency with diligence checklists, data rooms, trackers, and audit-ready filing; demonstrating low error rates and fast iteration.
• External Presence: Comfortable leading parts of counterparty meetings, chasing deliverables, and professionally negotiating factual points.
• Certifications: CFA or FRM, or equivalent professional path in progress.
• Mindset: High-ownership, low-ego, reliable under time pressure; creative in finding safe capacity and better economics within risk limits.
• Crypto: Interest is welcomed; prior crypto experience is not required (domain-specific training will be provided).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong relationship-building expertise within the investment community, and the ability to collaborate effectively with an executive team.
• Ability to adapt swiftly to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Enthusiastic and driven to achieve high-quality standards.

Nice to Have

• Structured Credit: Previous experience in securitization, repo, or margin-based lending frameworks.
• TradFi Background: Solid exposure to collateral and margin frameworks within traditional financial services.
• Crypto Literacy: General familiarity with Bitcoin; while preferred, domain training will be provided.
• Technical Proficiency: Coding ability or experience with modern data modeling tools.
