Responsibilities

• Lead the overall risk management strategy for Non Trading Liabilities (NTL), ensuring robust frameworks and controls are in place.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating NTL related risks across the organization.
• Collaborate with various departments, including legal, compliance, finance, and operations, to ensure a holistic approach to risk management.
• Oversee the establishment of risk appetite, key risk indicators (KRIs), and reporting mechanisms specific to NTL.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and scenario analysis to anticipate potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Drive continuous improvement in risk management practices, leveraging industry best practices and innovative technologies.
• Manage a team of risk professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a high performance culture.
• Present risk reports and strategic recommendations to senior management and relevant committees.
• Stay abreast of regulatory changes and emerging risks in the blockchain and financial services sectors.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in risk management, with a significant focus on Non Trading Liabilities within a financial institution or fintech company.
• Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing a team.
• Deep understanding of risk frameworks, methodologies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel II/III, enterprise risk management).
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in the blockchain or cryptocurrency industry is highly advantageous.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA) is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic, and global environment.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
