Senior Backend Engineer, Wallet at Binance

About the Role

Binance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our dynamic Wallet team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend services for our cryptocurrency wallet infrastructure. This position requires a strong understanding of distributed systems, high-throughput applications, and a passion for the blockchain and crypto space.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement high-performance, fault-tolerant, and secure backend services for Binance's wallet system.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
• Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of our wallet services through rigorous testing and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues efficiently.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in blockchain and distributed systems.

Requirements

• At least 5+ years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record of building and deploying large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Golang, or C++.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
• Experience with various database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) and caching technologies (e.g., Redis).
• Proficient in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
• Bonus: Experience with blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, or financial systems.
