What We're Looking For

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about building robust, scalable, and globally available software. This role is crucial to our technical foundation, and you will have significant ownership over core services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy high quality, scalable backend services using modern technologies.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Optimize application performance and maintain high availability across our global infrastructure.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to establishing best engineering practices across the team.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on backend systems.
• Proven experience with at least one modern backend framework (e.g., Node.js, Ruby on Rails, Python).
• Deep understanding of database design, scaling, and optimization (PostgreSQL, MySQL preferred).
• Experience building and deploying cloud native applications (AWS or GCP experience is a plus).
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast paced, evolving environment.
• A passion for working with distributed systems and global challenges.
