Senior Go-To-Market Systems AI and Automation Engineer at Camunda
Job Description
About Camunda
Camunda provides an enterprise platform for agentic orchestration, helping organizations coordinate AI agents, people, and systems across intricate, end-to-end business processes. With integrated governance, auditability, and human oversight, Camunda empowers enterprises to safely and scalably move AI initiatives from pilot to production. Trusted by over 700 global organizations, including 9 of the top 10 US banks, Camunda assists enterprises in boosting operational efficiency, accelerating time-to-value, and delivering superior customer experiences.
As a fully remote and global company, we are currently undergoing a significant transformation into an AI-first organization, built on our own platform. We leverage Agentic AI to automate and orchestrate intelligent processes, enhancing human contribution across all teams. Camunda has been recognized on GP Bullhound’s Top 100 Next Unicorn list, achieved 2025 Great Place to Work certification, and is named a Visionary in the 2025 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Business Orchestration and Automation Technologies. We also ranked 3rd in Flexa's 2026 Most Flexible Companies. We are experiencing rapid growth and are seeking exceptional talent. If you desire meaningful work, visible impact, and a genuinely rare addition to your CV, we encourage you to read on.
About the Role
Camunda’s Revenue Operations organization is seeking a Senior GTM Systems AI and Automation Engineer. In this role, you will design, build, and operate the AI-powered infrastructure that connects our go-to-market systems and eliminates manual work across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Partnerships, and Account Development. You will join the GTM Systems team, a focused group of builders managing a Salesforce-centric revenue stack, and will take ownership of its AI and automation layer. This includes agents, LLM integrations, MCP servers, retrieval pipelines, backend services, and workflow orchestration. You will collaborate with GTM leaders to identify high-impact problems, define their scope, and iteratively deliver reliable, well-governed solutions. This is a fully remote position, eligible for candidates located anywhere we are able to hire.
What You Will Do
- Design, build, and operate AI agents, LLM integrations, and automations connecting Salesforce, Gainsight, Slack, Salesloft, Clari, HubSpot, Impartner, and the broader GTM stack. Your work will reduce manual efforts across Sales, CS, Marketing, Partners, and ADR teams.
- Own the architecture of the GTM Systems AI layer, encompassing MCP servers, APIs, retrieval and context pipelines, reusable agent tools and skills, and serverless or containerized services on Google Cloud Platform (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions).
- Ship production-grade LLM capabilities, including prompt engineering, RAG, function calling, and structured outputs, with robust guardrails such as validation, fallback logic, confidence thresholds, human escalation paths, access controls, audit logging, and cost and latency management.
- Partner with Revenue Operations, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Partnerships, and SDR/ADR leaders to identify and prioritize automation opportunities, translate complex requirements into maintainable solutions, and deliver incrementally with clear documentation.
- Elevate the engineering standards for the GTM Systems team through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, security governance, observability, and technical documentation. You will also mentor teammates on responsible AI-assisted development.
- Design and deploy workflows on orchestration platforms like Camunda and Clay, and create playbooks and enablement resources to empower GTM teams to independently use and operate automations.
What You Will Bring to the Role
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience (in backend development, systems integration, data or analytics engineering, or automation), including at least 2 years shipping LLM or AI capabilities into production business workflows or internal tools.
- Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js), coupled with mature Git-based development practices: code review, automated testing, and CI/CD.
- Hands-on command of LLM patterns, including prompt engineering, RAG, function/tool calling, and structured outputs, as well as an understanding of their failure modes and mitigations (e.g., validation, fallback logic, confidence thresholds, human review, cost, and latency control).
- Experience integrating with Salesforce (REST/Bulk/Streaming APIs, data model, platform limits; Apex or Flow is a plus) and other business systems via APIs and event-driven patterns.
- Proficiency with a cloud platform (Google Cloud Platform is preferred, specifically BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and IAM).
- Ability to independently own a problem end-to-end (scope, design, deliver, operate) and communicate clearly with both engineering and business stakeholders in a remote, asynchronous environment.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar standards for connecting AI systems to tools and data; agent frameworks; vector databases or retrieval pipelines (e.g., pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB).
- Exposure to AI observability and evaluation tooling (e.g., LangSmith, Weights & Biases, or custom evaluation frameworks).
- Familiarity with orchestration platforms such as Camunda or Clay, and prior work in Revenue Operations, GTM Systems, Sales Operations, or Marketing Operations within B2B SaaS.
- Experience building lightweight interfaces for AI tools (e.g., React, Slack Block Kit, dashboards); Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, Integration Architect).
What We Have to Offer
Compensation:
We provide competitive, fair, and transparent compensation. Salary ranges are location-based, with Standard and Major markets (global tech hubs) reflecting local competition. The Annual Total Target Cash (base salary + 100% variable target, where applicable) shown below spans from the minimum in a Standard market to the maximum in a Major market. If you are based elsewhere, you will be hired via Remote.com (our global employer partner), and your Talent Acquisition Partner will provide a personalized Total Rewards Calculator after your first interview.
Equity:
We also offer equity (where applicable) through our Virtual Stock Option Plan (VSOP).

- Professional Growth: Up to $/€/£1,000 per year for self-driven learning: courses, certifications, books, you decide!
