The Opportunity

Solana Foundation is seeking a Head of Stablecoins to lead the strategy, growth, and ecosystem development of stablecoins on Solana. This is a unique role that goes beyond traditional business development or product management. The successful candidate will oversee the entire stablecoin landscape, from forging key partnerships with issuers, exchanges, and DeFi protocols, to designing strategies that attract significant liquidity to Solana, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to reduce friction and enable new use cases. The ideal candidate possesses a founder's mindset: capable of setting a vision, building high-level relationships, delving into mechanism design and tokenomics, and executing multiple work-streams relentlessly. They understand that expanding stablecoins on Solana requires a combination of strategic partnerships, intelligent commercial structures, product thinking, and ecosystem coordination. The primary mandate of this role is to drive breakthrough growth, not incremental changes.

What You'll Do

• Define and own Solana Foundation's stablecoin growth strategy end-to-end, from issuer relationships to on-chain distribution and utility.
• Build and manage relationships with major stablecoin issuers, exchanges, custodians, market makers, and DeFi protocols to increase stablecoin supply and usage on Solana.
• Design and oversee commercial strategies and liquidity initiatives that attract and retain stablecoin capital on-chain.
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to identify infrastructure gaps, improve developer tooling, and enable new stablecoin use cases, such as payments, treasury management, remittances, and DeFi.
• Collaborate with ecosystem teams across DeFi, payments, and institutional adoption to ensure stablecoin growth compounds across various verticals.
• Track competitive dynamics across different blockchains, analyze successful strategies, and quickly adapt the overall strategy.
• Represent Solana Foundation in executive discussions, industry working groups, and at major conferences.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of experience spanning a combination of business development, product strategy, growth, or protocol/ecosystem leadership, preferably in crypto or fintech.
• A founder's mindset: high agency, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to context-switch efficiently between a partnership negotiation, an incentive model, and a product specification within the same day.
• Strong understanding of stablecoin mechanics, DeFi liquidity dynamics, and on-chain incentive design.
• Proven ability to build and maintain senior relationships with issuers, protocols, and institutional partners.
• Sharp analytical thinking - comfortable working with data, modeling scenarios, and making trade-offs.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex on-chain dynamics into clear strategic narratives for both crypto-native and traditional audiences.
• Comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-moving, lean, globally distributed team.

Bonus Points

• Direct experience at a stablecoin issuer, DeFi protocol, L1/L2, or a crypto-native fund.
• Background in commercial strategies, tokenomics, or liquidity strategy.
• Existing relationships with major stablecoin issuers and key DeFi teams building on Solana or across chains.
• Experience in payments infrastructure or traditional capital markets.
