The Opportunity

Solana Foundation is actively seeking a highly driven Senior Data Analyst. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, a deep curiosity for uncovering valuable insights, and the ability to transform complex datasets into compelling narratives that inform strategic decision-making. At Solana Foundation, we facilitate development across the entire ecosystem - encompassing the core protocol, infrastructure, developer tooling, and various applications. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming ecosystem and blockchain data into actionable insights that enhance product decisions, bolster ecosystem health, and optimize user experiences. Your analyses will directly influence how teams measure network performance, evaluate proposed protocol changes, and understand broader ecosystem trends. Solana holds immense potential to facilitate multiple trillion-dollar industries, including markets, payments, and asset management, offering significant growth opportunities for this role alongside the industry's expansion.

To be successful in this role:

You will:

• Analyze large-scale blockchain and ecosystem datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights, ensuring we stay ahead of frontier industry developments.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, product teams, and ecosystem stakeholders to define key metrics and answer high-impact business and protocol-related questions.
• Develop comprehensive dashboards, reports, and visualizations that clearly communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Build and maintain reliable datasets and sophisticated analytical models to support informed decision-making across the entire organization.
• Assist in defining and tracking critical ecosystem metrics such as decentralization scores, transaction inclusion performance, validator health, and network economics.
• Perform in-depth exploratory analysis to evaluate protocol updates, ecosystem initiatives, and user behavior trends.
• Ensure the highest standards of data quality, consistency, and accuracy across all reporting and analytical workflows.
• Document methodologies, precise metrics definitions, and analytical processes to promote transparency and facilitate knowledge sharing.

You ideally have:

• 5+ years of professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data science, or closely related roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with modern analytics tooling and data warehouses.
• Demonstrated experience building dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Allium, Dune, Hex, or other crypto data-powered Business Intelligence tools.
• Familiarity with blockchain technologies, including an understanding of transaction data, smart contracts, and consensus mechanisms.
• Experience working with big data platforms and analytical tooling like ClickHouse, Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
• Strong understanding of experimentation design, metrics development, and statistical analysis.
• Ability to communicate complex insights effectively to both technical and business audiences.
• Experience with Solana data and the broader Solana ecosystem is especially beneficial.

Bonus points:

• Experience contributing to open-source projects.
• Practical experience applying AI/LLM workflows to analytics or operational use cases.
• Familiarity with Python or Rust for data analysis and tooling development.
• Experience working in fast-moving startup or crypto environments.
