The Opportunity: Senior Product Designer

The Solana Foundation is searching for a Senior Product Designer to help shape the web experiences that define how developers, institutions, and the broader ecosystem interact with Solana's diverse products and infrastructure. You will work directly on Foundation-owned products, including tokens.solana.com and other essential tools that serve a sophisticated, global user base. This role is primarily UX-focused, meaning you will dedicate the majority of your time to research, information architecture, user flows, and interaction design, while possessing strong visual sensibilities to bring these experiences to life. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of designing complex, data-rich B2B web products and a deep understanding of the demands associated with institutional or professional-grade tooling.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Own end-to-end UX design for Solana Foundation web products, from initial discovery and comprehensive research through wireframes, prototyping, and final specifications.
• Conduct thorough user research, synthesize insights effectively, and translate them into clear, actionable product decisions.
• Define intuitive information architecture, seamless user flows, and effective interaction patterns for complex, data-intensive interfaces.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to ship high-quality, thoughtfully designed experiences.
• Contribute to visual design polish, including typography, spacing, and component systems, demonstrating a strong eye for detail and craftsmanship.
• Maintain and evolve design systems across all Foundation products to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Act as an advocate for the user in cross-functional discussions, skillfully balancing user needs with business goals and technical constraints.

You ideally have:

• 5+ years of dedicated product design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing in-depth UX expertise, including user research, user flows, wireframes, and successfully shipped web products.
• Proven ability to design complex B2B or professional-grade web products (such as dashboards, data tools, workflow applications, etc.).
• Extensive experience designing for desktop/web environments; deep web design craftsmanship is essential.
• Strong systems thinking capabilities, including the ability to design for scale, handle edge cases, and adapt to varied user contexts.
• Deep familiarity with AI tools (e.g., design-to-code solutions) and hands-on experience using basic frontend development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.).
• Comfortable working with and actively contributing to design systems in Figma.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly articulating design rationale to stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven experience working effectively in a cross-functional team alongside product managers and engineers.

Bonus Points

• Experience designing for institutional users, such as asset managers, financial institutions, compliance-focused products, or advanced developer tooling.
• Familiarity with Web3, blockchain, or crypto products.
• Experience with token management, on-chain data, or DeFi interfaces.
• Background designing products at the intersection of finance and technology.
