The Role: Senior Product Designer

As a Senior Product Designer at SafetyWing, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our insurance products. You will be responsible for defining and enhancing user experiences across our diverse product lines, translating complex problems into intuitive and impactful design solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven company from anywhere in the world.

What You Will Do

• Take ownership of the end-to-end product design process, from initial research and ideation to final implementation and iteration.
• Conduct comprehensive user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to deeply understand user needs and behaviors.
• Translate research insights and business requirements into effective user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design solutions are feasible, desirable, and viable.
• Actively contribute to the development and maintenance of our design system, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all products.
• Champion a user-centered design approach within the team and across the organization.
• Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback, data analysis, and evolving product strategies.

What We Are Looking For

• Over 5 years of professional experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design solutions.
• Demonstrated expertise in UX, UI, and visual design principles.
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools like Figma.
• A solid understanding of user research methodologies and practices.
• Proven ability to take a product from concept through to launch and beyond, demonstrating impact on key metrics.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale clearly.
• Experience working in an agile or remote first environment.
• Strong problem solving skills and an analytical mindset.

Bonus Points

• Experience with Webflow or other low code development tools.
• Familiarity with analytics tools and basic SQL for data-driven insights.
• Previous experience in the insurance, fintech, or startup sectors.
• Understanding of the digital nomad lifestyle and remote work challenges.
