Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain highly performant, scalable, and resilient distributed systems.
• Collaborate effectively with cross functional teams including product, front end, and mobile engineers to deliver robust solutions.
• Actively participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and contribute to architectural decisions to ensure high code quality and system reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and fostering their growth within the team.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform's architecture and engineering best practices.
• Efficiently troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal disruption to services.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in backend development, demonstrating a strong track record of building and maintaining complex systems.
• Expertise in at least one modern programming language such as Golang, Java, Scala, or Python.
• Proven experience working with high traffic, distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and messaging queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience with API design principles and best practices.
• A proactive, self starting attitude with excellent problem solving capabilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively in a global, remote first environment.
• Passion for blockchain technology and the cryptocurrency space is a plus.
