Senior Product Manager, Orchestrator Platform at Chili Piper
Job Description
About Chili Piper
Chili Piper is a leading B2B SaaS company that empowers Go-To-Market (GTM) teams to instantly convert inbound leads into qualified meetings. Our innovative Demand Conversion Platform streamlines the connection between buyers and sellers, eliminating typical friction points in the sales funnel. We are a fully remote, global team committed to developing impactful solutions for our customers, operating with agility, and fostering a fun and meaningful work environment. As a rapidly growing company, we have ambitious goals.
We are actively seeking a Senior Product Manager to spearhead Orchestrator, Chili Piper's GTM Control Layer. This pivotal role is viewed internally as a Product Market Fitter, distinguishing it from traditional roadmap management. It is a product leadership opportunity for individuals passionate about building intricate, enterprise-grade products, possessing the discernment to transform customer and market insights into strategic product initiatives that yield significant adoption and business outcomes.
Orchestrator functions by monitoring signals across Chili Piper and various external tools, determining the optimal subsequent action, and executing it autonomously. This includes tasks such as detecting form abandonments, no-shows, missed meetings, or cold chats; assessing Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) fit, account ownership, intent history, and CRM status; and then initiating the correct next step, such as enrolling a sequence in Salesloft, Outreach, or Gong Engage, notifying a sales representative, rescheduling a meeting, or sending a booking link.
You will oversee the complete lifecycle of a product initiative, encompassing: target customer identification, initial audience definition, market and customer evidence gathering, problem articulation, desired outcome, value proposition, viability assessment, prioritization, success metrics, first adoption trigger, usage analysis, and ultimately, business impact. Your ownership will extend to the solution concept, defining what we offer and its delivery mechanism. You will collaborate closely with a Product Designer and a Product Engineering Lead to craft solutions that are valuable, cohesive, and technically feasible. This role demands exceptional judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and the capacity to distil complex workflows, data, and user needs into clear product direction. It is an ideal fit for someone driven to build products that solve genuine challenges for sophisticated users, measuring success by actual customer adoption.
What youβll do
- Manage Orchestrator comprehensively, from market and customer evidence through adoption, iterative improvements, and long-term business impact.
- Define the initial audience for each product initiative and maintain that focus amidst emerging requests, edge cases, and new opportunities.
- Identify critical problems to solve, translating signal detection, decision-making processes, and action-taking into clear product directives.
- Establish value, viability, priority, and key success metrics, including defining what will trigger initial adoption.
- Monitor product adoption and real-world usage post-launch, leveraging insights to refine the product and inform future development.
- Ensure coherence across signal types, decision logic, and external integrations to maintain system predictability and trustworthiness as it scales.
- Collaborate with Product Design on the user experience, initial use pathways, and product-side enablement strategies.
- Partner with the Product Engineering Lead to develop technically sound and practical solutions.
- Exercise ruthless prioritization, making definitive choices even when problems are complex and answers are not immediately obvious.
- Uphold high quality standards, only shipping products you would personally endorse and use.
What weβre looking for
- Senior level experience managing complex B2B SaaS products, demonstrating clear ownership over a specific product area or significant initiatives.
- Strong product judgment, including the ability to identify high-value problems and make informed tradeoffs within ambiguous environments.
- Practical experience using AI tools in daily product work, with sound judgment regarding where AI can genuinely enhance a product experience.
- The ability to simplify complexity, transforming customer evidence, data, and technical constraints into actionable product decisions.
- Profound curiosity about users and markets, coupled with a consistent habit of building conviction through direct evidence.
- Comfort operating within technical domains and establishing credibility with technical users and engineering partners.
- A bias towards focus, prioritizing shipping narrow solutions to facilitate rapid learning.
- Experience collaborating closely with Engineering, Design, and cross-functional teams in a fast paced environment.
- A strong drive to build products that address real problems and achieve widespread adoption, not merely be released.
Nice to have
- Experience building or managing third party integrations, especially with CRM, Sales Engagement, or conferencing platforms.
- Experience with lead routing, distribution, or assignment logic.
- Experience with CRM or marketing automation platforms.
- Experience building enterprise grade, data rich SaaS products.
- Experience building or shipping with Claude or similar products.
Who this role is for
This role is uniquely suited for individuals who thrive on high ownership, independent judgment, and navigating challenges without a pre-existing playbook. We empower our team members with significant responsibility and considerable autonomy. This means you will be expected to lead your domain, establish direction, and make difficult decisions with imperfect information. If you prefer a highly directed environment with extensive structural guidance on next steps, this role may not be the right fit.
How this role works
We prioritize clear ownership and strong cross functional partnerships:
- The Product Market Fitter (this role) owns the target customer, problem definition, intended outcome, value proposition, viability, priority, adoption strategy, and ultimate business result.
- The Product Designer owns the user experience and product-side enablement.
- The Product Designer and Product Engineering Lead jointly own the solution architecture.
- The Product Engineering Lead owns the technical solution and its delivery execution.
