The Role: Senior Manager, Finance Systems

Dandy is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager, Finance Systems to drive the strategy, implementation, and ongoing optimization of our core finance systems. The initial focus will be on our NetSuite environment, with the scope growing to cover Procurement to Pay, Order to Cash, and Record to Report processes. Reporting to the Head of Finance Systems, you will be a key leader in enhancing efficiency, automation, and scalability within our finance operations. This role requires both hands-on system configuration expertise and the ability to effectively manage technical resources to deliver complex technical solutions. We are seeking a functional and technically adept individual who excels in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.

What You Will Do

• Build & Shape the Finance Systems Function: Act as a leader in defining the structure and establishing the vision for a high-performing Finance Systems function. This includes helping to define team roles, responsibilities, and career growth paths as the team expands.
• Create Scalable Solutions: Define, build, and optimize the processes, methodologies, and tools that will dictate how we leverage NetSuite and other Finance systems across the organization. This involves setting standards for system configuration, data governance, integrations, and reporting.
• Implement Best Practices: Establish and enforce best practices for system configuration, data integrity, user management, security, testing, and deployment across all finance systems, ensuring long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Manage Technical Resources: Effectively lead and guide internal or external technical teams responsible for NetSuite SuiteScript development, API integrations, and other technical requirements for our finance systems.
• Foster a Data-Driven Culture within Finance: Champion the use of data-driven insights within the Finance department, maximizing system capabilities for reporting and analysis. Ensure the Finance team has the necessary data for accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and efficient decision making.

What We Are Looking For

• Leadership Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience managing or leading projects within finance systems, demonstrating a proven history of successful delivery in a fast-growing setting.
• Functional & Process Expertise: At least 7 years of experience with core finance systems, possessing deep functional and process knowledge across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Order Management, and Procurement.
• NetSuite Expertise: Significant hands-on experience with NetSuite configuration, administration, and ideally, a working understanding of SuiteScript and integrations.
• Technical Aptitude: A strong grasp of system integrations, data flows, and the ability to translate business requirements into clear technical specifications. You must be comfortable collaborating with technical resources.
• System Scaling Experience: Proven ability to implement or significantly scale finance systems to meet growing business demands.
• Strategic Execution: The capacity to define a long term vision for finance systems while simultaneously executing the necessary tactical changes to realize that vision, balancing strategy with hands on involvement.
• Collaborative Leadership: Strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling you to work effectively with cross functional teams, including Accounting, Engineering, and Operations stakeholders, to align and drive impactful finance initiatives. You should be able to simplify complex system issues for non technical audiences.
• Process Focus: Experience designing and implementing processes that enforce rigor, consistency, and efficiency across finance workflows. You thrive when systems are optimized for peak performance and scalability.

• Experience working in mid sized high growth companies.
• NetSuite Administrator certification.
• Experience within a manufacturing company.
• Experience with finance systems related to Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, and Record to Report processes.
• Experience managing both internal and external technical resources.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Looker or Hex.
