The Role: Product Manager II, Identity & Platform

As a Product Manager II within Coinbase’s Identity organization and Platform group, you will be responsible for owning the strategy and execution of enterprise identity and multi-user experiences across Coinbase's core business products. This team manages some of the most security critical and high traffic surfaces at Coinbase, including sign in, authentication, account management, and organization administration. Your primary focus will be defining how business customers manage users, roles, permissions, and security controls across Coinbase's expanding product portfolio, directly influencing how enterprises adopt and scale our platform.

What You Will Do:

• Own the product roadmap for enterprise identity and multi-user capabilities, including role-based access control (RBAC), organization management, SSO/SAML, domain claiming, and provisioning (SCIM, JIT).
• Drive the overarching strategy for authentication, authorization, and account security experiences designed to serve both consumer and business customers at scale.
• Lead complex cross functional launches by effectively coordinating engineering, design, security, legal, privacy, CX, and international stakeholders through challenging delivery milestones.
• Collaborate closely with Security and Engineering teams to identify potential vulnerabilities, define necessary mitigations, and establish robust operational guardrails for privileged access workflows.
• Shape the long term platform vision for identity primitives that will unlock new business verticals and integrate seamlessly across Coinbase's custodial product suite.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Possess 5 or more years of product management experience, with at least 2 years dedicated to identity, authentication, enterprise SaaS, or platform products.
• Demonstrated success shipping RBAC, SSO, MFA, or provisioning systems at scale within a B2B or multi tenant environment.
• Proven ability to translate intricate security and technical requirements into clear product strategies and highly intuitive user experiences.
• Experience leading product launches that involve security, privacy, legal, compliance, and customer support stakeholders.
• Fluency in identity protocols and concepts such as OAuth, SAML, OIDC, SCIM, session management, and domain ownership, without needing direct hands on engineering responsibility.
• Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly, ensuring human oversight is maintained to deliver business ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Transparency: Base salary varies based on location. Total compensation may also include eligibility for equity and bonus, alongside comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).

Annual Base Salary Range (excluding equity and bonus): $180,370 to $212,200 USD
