Job Responsibilities

• Serve as Binance's global product legal lead, providing comprehensive regulatory and legal guidance throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept to launch and ongoing operations.
• Advise product teams on the regulatory implications of new features, product enhancements, and market expansions across various international jurisdictions.
• Lead the assessment and mitigation of regulatory risks across Binance's extensive product suite, including spot and derivatives trading, payment systems, digital assets, and emerging verticals.
• Collaborate directly with product managers, engineers, compliance, risk, and business development teams to integrate legal and regulatory considerations into the core product development processes.
• Develop and maintain scalable product compliance frameworks and controls that support sustained growth within diverse and evolving global regulatory environments.
• Act as a key decision-maker in product governance forums, expertly balancing regulatory compliance imperatives with strategic business objectives and user needs.
• Lead engagement and discussions with regulators and external counsel on all product-related matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Proactively monitor global regulatory developments and translate them into actionable guidance and strategic advice for product and business teams.
• Conduct cross-functional workshops and training sessions to enhance regulatory awareness and compliance understanding throughout the organization.

Job Requirements

• Qualified to practice law in a leading jurisdiction, possessing significant international regulatory legal experience.
• 10+ years of extensive experience in regulatory legal roles, with a preference for in-house experience at a technology, financial services, or cryptocurrency company.
• Deep and demonstrable knowledge of global financial product regulation, encompassing spot and derivatives trading, payment systems, and digital assets.
• A proven track record of effective collaboration with product and engineering teams to directly influence and shape product decisions.
• Experience in managing complex regulatory compliance matters and successfully engaging with regulators across diverse jurisdictions.
• Experience in leading and scaling legal teams across multiple regions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with regulators, business leaders, product teams, and external counsel.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Possession of strong business acumen coupled with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach.
• Profound understanding of the cryptocurrency industry and its rapidly evolving global regulatory landscape.
• Ability to thrive and maintain effectiveness in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while managing multiple priorities.
