You are an enthusiastic chess player and a meticulous linguist with a profound love for the game. Your expertise in both English and Tamil extends beyond simple fluency, enabling you to appreciate the intricate nuances and structures vital for creating precise, high-quality translations. You excel in collaborative environments, demonstrate high responsiveness, and possess excellent time management skills to consistently meet deadlines.

With a strong background in professional translation and an advanced understanding of chess, you are the ideal candidate to ensure our content resonates perfectly with Tamil-speaking chess enthusiasts across the globe.

What You'll Do

• Help translate the user interfaces of all Chess.com applications, including Chess.com, Chess.com Mobile, ChessKid, ChessKid Mobile, and Dr. Wolf.
• Assist in translating various marketing campaigns.
• Review previously submitted translations to ensure they meet high quality standards.

Preferred Skills

• Demonstrated expertise in chess with a deep understanding of its terminology.
• Proven professional experience in translating complex texts between English and Tamil.
• Exceptional linguistic knowledge, including a strong grasp of language theory and structure.
• Native or near-native fluency in both English and Tamil.
• Excellent communication skills with a high degree of responsiveness.
• Proven ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.

About the Opportunity

This is a freelance role offering a variable workload, with compensation provided on a per-word basis. We are a 100% remote company, allowing you to work from anywhere in the world!
