Senior Software Engineer (Backend) at Coalition Technologies

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer with a focus on backend systems to join our dynamic engineering team. What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable backend services using our core technologies, primarily Node.js and related ecosystems.
• Implement and optimize APIs to support various client applications, ensuring they meet strict performance benchmarks.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers and product managers to translate requirements into technical specifications and working features.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to guarantee code quality and system stability across all environments.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint planning sessions to improve engineering practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade services as needed to maintain peak operational health.

What You Will Bring

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a significant focus on backend development.
• Proven expertise in at least one modern backend language and framework, specifically Node.js is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in designing and querying relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with message queues and asynchronous processing patterns (e.g., RabbitMQ or Kafka).
• A solid understanding of software design patterns and principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in an agile development environment.

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with GraphQL.
• Prior work in a high throughput, distributed systems environment.
