Role Overview: Security Engineer, Corporate Security (CorpSec)

Our Corporate Security team is looking for a Security Engineer to build and maintain robust security controls designed to protect our corporate infrastructure, user devices, enterprise applications, and network communications. You will work closely with IT and engineering teams to proactively identify risks and deliver tailored security solutions that keep our users safe without creating unnecessary friction for employees, thereby safeguarding Coinbase's most sensitive data and critical assets.

What You Will Do:

• Design, implement, and maintain security solutions to harden Coinbase's macOS, Chromebook, and mobile endpoints, focusing on secure configurations, compliance, threat detection, and user experience.
• Conduct thorough security reviews of enterprise systems and software that support productivity across our corporate environment.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate endpoint and SaaS security into broader corporate engineering initiatives.
• Identify and remediate data exfiltration pathways introduced by local AI agents and developer tooling (such as coding assistants or LLM harnesses) running on corporate endpoints.
• Serve as a technical guide and reviewer for engineers on the CorpSec team, helping to elevate the security standards throughout the organization.

Required Skills and Experience:

• A minimum of three years of professional experience in security engineering, with at least two years focused on securing macOS or similar user endpoints within an enterprise setting.
• A demonstrated capability to write production code for services, integrations, and automations that support corporate infrastructure security.
• Proven ability to scope, prioritize, and deploy security projects from start to finish, operating effectively in fast paced environments with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with concepts such as device trust, zero trust network access, or endpoint communication security products (e.g., Cloudflare, Prisma Access, Zscaler).
• Proficiency in responsibly utilizing generative AI, ensuring human oversight is maintained to produce business ready outputs that improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Compensation and Benefits:

Coinbase offers competitive compensation packages. The annual base salary range for this position is $152,405 to $179,300 USD. Total compensation may also include eligibility for equity and bonus.
