Role overview

We are hiring a People Operations Manager to enhance our people operations and craft an exceptional employee experience for our globally distributed team. Reporting to the Head of People, you will build, refine, and implement scalable processes across the employee lifecycle, from hiring to offboarding. This role requires working U.S. hours, preferably Eastern Standard Time (EST), and is open to global candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full employee lifecycle including recruiting, onboarding, development, compliance, offboarding, and HR systems administration.
• Collaborate with EOR and PEO providers (Remote, Justworks) on HR operations and employment matters.
• Maintain accurate HR data and reporting using the HRIS (BambooHR) to drive process efficiency.
• Lead end-to-end recruiting efforts including writing job descriptions, salary benchmarking, interview scheduling, and extending offers.
• Facilitate structured new-hire onboarding to deliver a positive first day experience.
• Partner with managers on performance management, coaching, and career development.
• Manage leaves of absence, PTO and holiday programs, separations and offboarding processes.
• Update the employee handbook and internal policies to align with company values and legal requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations and people operations inquiries.

What we are looking for

• 3-5 years of experience in human resources, people operations, recruiting, or a related people function, ideally at a fast-growing startup or SaaS company.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and exercise sound judgment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, concise guidance.
• Comfort managing multiple priorities and stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
• Cultural awareness and the ability to build trust and credibility across a diverse, global team.
• Experience working remotely and developing remote-first culture and processes.
• Familiarity with HR tools and systems such as BambooHR, Justworks, Remote, or similar platforms.
• Ability to serve as an expert on national and global labor laws and compliance is strongly preferred.
• A growth mindset toward adopting new tools and digital processes.

Compensation and benefits

Competitive salary range: USD 110,000 - 140,000 per year, DOE. Additional compensation and benefits include stock options, health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) employer match, and other perks listed below.
