What We Do

Our marketing and communications team is responsible for articulating the story of what is being constructed on Solana. We engage with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including developers and founders, traders and crypto-native users, institutions and capital market participants, payments companies, merchants, enterprises, consumer platforms, policymakers, and the media who help shape the global understanding of our work. We operate lean, fast, and closely aligned with the technical work.

The Role: New Media Manager

Solana has a powerful presence on platforms like X. We are looking to expand this presence significantly beyond X. As the New Media Manager, you will be instrumental in building Solana's presence across platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.

This is a maker's role, meaning you will be highly involved in the entire production pipeline. You will write, shoot, edit, publish, and analyze performance across various channels at the fast pace of the crypto industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the growth strategy for Solana across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and emerging social media platforms, creating content and formats native to each specific channel.
• Design and scale recurring content franchises that effectively build loyal audiences and drive sustained growth in subscribers, retention, and overall participation.
• Manage the full content lifecycle, from initial idea generation and scripting to production, editing, publishing, and detailed performance analysis.
• Cultivate and manage a network of creators, founders, builders, and other key ecosystem voices to help bring Solana stories to life across diverse formats and audiences.
• Develop tailored platform-specific content strategies for major Solana initiatives, including Breakpoint, Accelerate, Hacker Houses, ecosystem launches, and key cultural moments.
• Proactively identify opportunities to connect with new audiences through regional, localized, and non-English content strategies.
• Operate at the speed of crypto, rapidly converting ecosystem news, emerging trends, and critical moments into relevant content while maintaining an exceptionally high standard of quality and judgment.
• Collaborate closely with Social Media, Communications, Product Marketing, and other ecosystem teams to integrate new media content into major organizational campaigns and product launches.
• Manage production resources, including editors, creators, and contractors, to ensure a consistent publishing schedule and maintain a high creative standard.
• Leverage audience data and continuous experimentation to refine content formats, distribution methods, and overall programming, focusing intensely on retention, subscriber growth, and meaningful community participation.

What You Should Ideally Bring:

• Proven success in growing a YouTube channel or comparable long-form video presence, supported by quantifiable metrics and clear explanations of your results.
• Hands-on production capability: the ability to take a concept from initial idea to published video without relying on external agencies.
• Deep, native fluency in crypto culture, including understanding concepts that are complex to explain to newcomers.
• A strong instinct for content format, understanding precisely why one video performs well while a nearly identical one does not.
• Comfort being visible on camera, or having a clearly defined plan for representation.
• The necessary judgment to represent a major foundation, rather than promoting a personal brand, while maintaining authenticity.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• A personal audience you have successfully built.
• Editing expertise in Premiere, CapCut, After Effects, or equivalent professional software.
• Experience working with non-English audiences and localization strategies.
• Strong, well-articulated views on common mistakes in crypto content creation.
