Business Development - Equity Capital Markets at Binance

About the Role

Binance, a leading global blockchain ecosystem powering the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume and registered users, is building a cutting edge suite of tokenized equity capital markets products from the ground up. We are seeking a highly driven Business Development professional to originate, structure, and drive deals across this new product line. You will be joining a small, high impact team and will be responsible for owning the external relationships and the entire deal pipeline, from start to finish.

This represents a unique 0 to 1 opportunity for a proactive self starter who possesses an established capital markets network and is eager to help build a product from its inception. The selected candidate will own the entire origination and negotiation process, reaching out to issuers, partners, and financial institutions, growing the pipeline, and successfully driving opportunities through to closure.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate and source deals - Proactively identify and engage issuers, companies, partners, investment banks, exchanges, and distribution platforms to develop new business opportunities.
• Own external relationships - Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted counterpart, cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with issuers, financial institutions, and strategic partners.
• Negotiate deals - Lead commercial negotiations and define deal structures.
• Grow and manage the deal pipeline - Build a robust origination pipeline, meticulously tracking opportunities from the initial lead through execution, while reporting on progress and conversion rates.
• Support origination materials - Prepare compelling pitches, detailed proposals, and partner facing materials necessary to win mandates and advance live opportunities.
• Monitor the market - Continuously track the pipeline, market conditions, comparable transactions, and competitor activity to strategically identify and prioritize potential opportunities.
• Coordinate execution - Collaborate cross functionally with internal teams to guide deals through diligence, documentation, and final closing.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business development, equity capital markets (ECM) origination, coverage/relationship management, investment banking, or capital raising.
• Possessing an established network across Venture Capital/Private Equity, investment banking, issuers, and institutional relationships, with the proven capability to open doors and initiate deals from day one.
• A demonstrable history of successfully sourcing, negotiating, and closing deals or mandates.
• A strong working knowledge of equity capital markets and the mechanics of capital raising, including IPOs, follow on offerings, and related transactions.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, coupled with the ability to effectively represent the firm to senior external counterparts.
• Must be a genuine self starter, comfortable operating in ambiguous situations, functioning independently, and building a pipeline where one does not yet exist.
• Familiarity with digital assets or tokenization, or a strong willingness to quickly develop expertise in bringing equity capital markets on chain.
