About the Role
We are seeking an XDR (Extended Development Representative) to build the top of the sales funnel for a new vertical from scratch. This is a foundational, 0-to-1 role where you will be among the first sales hires in this position. Your responsibilities will include discovering effective strategies, codifying the sales playbook, and laying the groundwork for the team that follows. You will partner directly with senior leadership to shape messaging, test various channels, and drive the pipeline essential for this next stage of hypergrowth.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the initial point of contact for prospects in a brand-new vertical Dandy is launching into.
- Utilize email, phone, and other creative channels to reach prospective clients through outbound tactics.
- Build and iterate on the outbound playbook from scratch, including sequences, scripts, targeting, and objection handling strategies.
- Track your sales activity using Salesforce and other software tools, contributing to the definition of data-driven success metrics.
- Overcome objections, articulate Dandy's value proposition, and advance prospects through the sales process.
- Work collaboratively with senior leadership to achieve high-level Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and revenue targets.
- Partner with Account Executives on client handoffs and integrate learned insights back into product, marketing, and Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of XDR/BDR/SDR experience in a high-growth startup environment (SaaS strongly preferred).
- Experience in launching outbound sales into a new vertical, new market, or new product; you have been among the first in a role and understand how to build from inception.
- Strong cold-calling skills (SMB experience is a significant plus).
- Comfort operating without a pre-defined playbook; you are capable of creating the playbook as you go.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and quickly ramp up with limited resources.
- Experience with standard sales tools and a desire to explore and implement new tools to streamline the sales process.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and a desire to learn new sales concepts through rigorous training.
- Overall track record of professional and academic success.

The base salary for this role is $62,400 USD, with an additional $20,000 USD in commission. Actual compensation will vary based on factors including the candidate's location, skills, qualifications, and experience. The listed compensation for U.S.-based roles applies only to candidates working in the United States; candidates located outside the U.S. will have regionally adjusted compensation.
