About the Role

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Binance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high availability, scalability, and performance of our critical systems and infrastructure. You will work within a dynamic team to build and maintain robust, fault-tolerant solutions that support our global user base.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure for Binance's core services.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure new features and services are designed with reliability and performance in mind.
• Develop and deploy automation tools and frameworks to streamline operations, monitoring, and incident response.
• Lead incident management, participate in on call rotations, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures to minimize service disruptions.
• Optimize system performance, troubleshoot complex issues across the entire stack, and identify areas for improvement.
• Mentor and guide junior SREs, sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Stay up to date with the latest SRE trends, technologies, and methodologies.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a similar role focused on large scale distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Deep understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language like Golang, Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Solid experience with database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis) and messaging queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement highly available, fault tolerant, and scalable systems.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with microservices architecture and service mesh technologies.
• Familiarity with various monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Experience in the financial or cryptocurrency industry.
• Contributions to open source projects.
