About the Role
Dandyโs narrative is crucial to building trust, driving organic growth, and connecting with dentists, potential team members, and investors. We are seeking a visionary Head of Storytelling (or Chief Storyteller) to lead and elevate our marketing and commercial brand. Reporting directly to our executive team, your primary goal will be to establish Dandy's undeniable presence in the market. You will leverage our existing assets, including proprietary manufacturing technology, a growing network of dental practices, extensive clinical and operational expertise from millions of prosthetics cases, and a bold brand that challenges industry norms. Your role will be to transform these into a cohesive content engine that educates, builds trust, and shapes perceptions about the future of healthcare. We are looking for a Head of Storytelling who can define a clear, resonant point of view for anyone observing the convergence of software, machine learning, and automated manufacturing within a $500B industry. You will create repeatable editorial formats around clinical innovation, the science of precision manufacturing, and the realities of building category-defining infrastructure in healthcare. You will also partner closely with our marketing and community teams to ensure these ideas gain broad reach.
What You'll Do
- Shape & Amplify the Brand: Develop and enhance the Dandy brand across all touchpoints, ensuring the market recognizes Dandy as the fastest-growing and most innovative company in healthcare.
- Own Narrative & Editorial Voice: Take ownership of Dandyโs narrative strategy and editorial voice across all channels. Drive storytelling through clinician testimonials, data-driven case studies, social content, executive keynotes, and emerging formats that succeed in both traditional and generative discovery. This includes creating a narrative so clear and compelling that customers can articulate Dandyโs value better than we can.
- Turn Launches into Moments: Transform product launches into significant market events. Translate product velocity into narratives that boost adoption, shift perception, and accelerate category leadership.
- Translate Product into Story: Collaborate deeply with product, clinical, growth, and executive teams. Convert technical breakthroughs into engaging, shareable narratives and serve as the final authority on brand consistency.
- Experiment & Stay Ahead: Aggressively experiment across organic distribution channels. Pilot new approaches, from memes to manifesto-level content, build repeatable playbooks, and stay ahead of cultural and platform shifts.
- Control Market Presence: Determine when Dandy should express opinions versus remain silent. Shape the company's participation in broader conversations to ensure relevance feels authentic rather than forced.
- Drive Accountability & Learning: Establish systems to measure, learn from, and iterate on all marketing efforts. Ensure the function is accountable to tangible business outcomes, not merely activity or output.
What You'll Need
- A Track Record of Impactful Storytelling: Over 10 years of experience translating creative ideas into measurable business results. Ideally, this includes leading content in tech companies, with proven success in driving pipeline or organic growth through narrative.
- Taste: Possess strong intuition for which stories will resonate with diverse audiences and an ability to anticipate active trends.
- Creative Operator Mindset: Demonstrate an equal balance of strategic thinking and execution capabilities. Be data-informed yet bold, with the editorial judgment to discern whether a story requires a meme, a deep-dive case study, a manifesto, or a specific metric. Be energized by experimenting and evolving playbooks.
- Cross-Functional Grit: Thrive in fast-paced environments, collaborating effectively with Product, Go-To-Market (GTM), clinical, and executive teams. Possess an entrepreneurial drive to tackle everything from viral clinician content to high-level strategy.
- Obsessive Audience Focus: Be fanatical about understanding dentists' daily realities, challenges, and aspirations. Have a background in making complex topics, such as digital dentistry, complex manufacturing, robotics, AI, and patient outcomes, feel engaging, relevant, human, and shareable.

Compensation for this role ranges from $156,000 to $195,000 USD. Additionally, equity and bonus opportunities are offered. Please note that compensation listed for U.S.-based roles applies only to candidates working in the United States. Candidates located outside the U.S. will have regionally adjusted compensation.
