The company has built its entire technology stack in house, including an electronic health record (EHR) system, a patient care admin platform, a patient portal, its website, and marketing technology. Winona also operates two compounding pharmacies and works with a team of in house physicians to provide world class care through a fully vertically integrated business model.

About the Role

Winona is seeking a data driven, empathetic Growth Copywriter to own the performance and optimization of its end to end messaging ecosystem. In this role, copy is treated as a measurable variable in the growth funnel rather than just a creative nice to have. The Growth Copywriter will design and run rapid copy experiments across paid acquisition, patient intake flows, and lifecycle retention loops, all in service of helping women confidently access bioidentical HRT and menopause care.

What You Will Own

• Full Funnel Experimentation: Write copy hypotheses, design rapid A/B tests with growth and analytics teams, analyze performance data, and convert winning variations into a scalable messaging playbook.
• Lifecycle Growth and Retention: Write, test, and optimize automated onboarding, activation, adherence, churn save, and win back sequences across email, SMS, and push notifications to increase LTV.
• High Intent Conversion Surfaces: Own persuasive strategy and microcopy for landing pages, interactive quiz and intake flows, checkouts, and dynamic pricing and offer messaging.
• Paid Acquisition at Scale: Generate high volume concepts, hooks, and static and video copy variants for Meta, Google, and YouTube, iterating systematically based on creative testing data.
• Voice of Customer (VoC) Intelligence: Continuously mine product reviews, customer support tickets, intake data, and exit surveys to uncover deep qualitative insights and high converting customer language.
• AI Augmented Workflows: Leverage and train Winona's internal AI copywriting tools to scale production velocity, maintain brand consistency, and build automated variant pipelines without sacrificing quality.

What We Are Looking For

• 5 or more years of dedicated copywriting experience, with a focus on direct response, conversion copywriting, or growth marketing.
• DTC telehealth, wellness, or health tech experience is strongly preferred, including the ability to write about sensitive health topics with clinical authority and deep empathy.
• A portfolio backed by data and results, showing the exact copy variants tested, the structural or psychological changes made, and the quantifiable lift produced in metrics such as CTR, quiz completion, or conversion rates.
• Deep lifecycle marketing expertise, including significant experience building and optimizing automated email and SMS flows (onboarding, retention, win backs) rather than only writing one off promotional campaigns. Strong understanding of how to nurture a lead over time.
• A solid foundation in A/B testing mechanics, including formulating clear copy hypotheses, understanding sample size requirements, and identifying when a test result has reached true statistical significance.
• The ability to balance empathy and compliance, writing about highly sensitive personal health topics such as menopause symptoms, hormonal changes, and wellness with profound empathy while strictly adhering to healthcare compliance rules and ad network medical restrictions.
• An experimenter's mindset, with resilience to copy critiques and an obsession with letting consumer behavior and performance data determine the winning angle.
