About the Role

The Social Media and Content Intern will join the social team at Binance, a leading global blockchain ecosystem and the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume and registered users. This is a hands-on role that requires both on-camera presence and editing skills. The intern will be responsible for creating native, platform-first content specifically for TikTok, Instagram Reels, X, and YouTube Shorts. This position demands someone who lives on these platforms, understands their visual language, and can rapidly translate a trend or brief into a polished, ready-to-publish video with minimal supervision. The role supports content creation, publishing, community management, creator coordination, and performance reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Create engaging short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, taking responsibility from initial concept through to a publish-ready edit.
• Act as a presenter on camera for various formats, including explainers, trend participation, street style videos, and scripted or semi-scripted content.
• Actively monitor TikTok, Instagram, X, and YouTube to identify emerging trends, sounds, formats, and challenges, helping to convert relevant trends into timely content.
• Apply strong hooks and retention strategies across all content, utilizing visual, audio, and narrative techniques to boost watch-through rates.
• Edit videos using CapCut and native platform tools, ensuring adherence to platform best practices regarding captions, pacing, transitions, sound synchronization, and safe zones.
• Customize content for each platform instead of merely cross-posting identical material.
• Manage the scheduling and publication of approved content across TikTok, Instagram, X, and YouTube, including crafting captions, hashtags, tags, cover frames, alt text, and performing quality assurance checks.
• Maintain the content calendar, asset trackers, and publishing status records.
• Assist with social listening by tracking brand mentions, keywords, competitor activities, shifts in sentiment, and relevant conversation trends.
• Monitor comments, direct messages, and mentions, drafting approved responses and escalating any sensitive or compliance-related inquiries.
• Support the MENAP Creator Program by managing creator communications, distributing weekly guidelines, tracking content deliverables, logging content links, and flagging any missed deadlines or out of brief content.
• Help maintain the creator database and scout for potential new creators across TikTok, Instagram, X, and YouTube.
• Analyze social performance metrics and support weekly or monthly reporting, highlighting key learnings related to engagement, retention, and content effectiveness.

Expected Deliverables

• Produce 3 to 5 publish-ready short-form videos every week.
• Ensure scheduled and published posts align perfectly with the content calendar.
• Provide a weekly trend shortlist featuring recommended formats or sounds.
• Deliver weekly highlights from social listening activities.
• Maintain the updated MENAP Creator Program tracker and distribute weekly creator briefings.
• Provide support for community management, logging any escalations.
• Contribute input to weekly or monthly performance reporting cycles.
• Participate in weekly planning and review meetings.

Requirements

• Demonstrable ability to create short-form content for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts (a portfolio, personal account, or previous work is required).
• Must be comfortable and natural appearing on camera.
• Possess a deep, current understanding of the culture and trends on TikTok, Instagram, X, and YouTube, demonstrating the instinct to act quickly.
• Strong grasp of hooks (visual, audio, and video) and how they drive audience retention.
• Proficiency in CapCut and Instagram's native editing tools.
• A keen sense of pacing, framing, and the visual language native to each platform.
• Must be organized, driven by deadlines, and capable of working with minimal direct supervision.
• Possess strong written communication and relationship management skills, enabling professional interaction with external creators and brand representation in outreach efforts.
• Comfortable learning and operating within social media tools (such as publishing/scheduling, listening, and analytics platforms).
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Urdu is mandatory for coordinating with overseas partners and stakeholders. Additional languages are considered an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with the fintech and crypto sector, coupled with a keen interest in creating content for a brand like Binance.
• Prior hands-on experience using publishing, listening, or analytics tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Brandwatch, Talkwalker).
• Experience creating content specifically for a brand or business account, rather than personal use.
• Basic knowledge of phone-first production including shooting and lighting techniques.
• Familiarity with social analytics (such as views, retention, engagement) and using this data to enhance content quality.
