About the Role

We are actively seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will contribute to building an AI native data platform. You will be instrumental in scaling this platform by developing core data pipelines, establishing robust CI/CD processes, and shaping the overall data architecture.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead significant improvements to our existing data infrastructure and architecture.
• Optimize query design and enhance performance across our data systems.
• Develop comprehensive monitoring solutions for data pipelines and implement DataOps best practices.
• Collaborate with various teams across Camunda to advocate for and ensure best practices in data acquisition, storage, and stewardship.

What You Bring

• We are looking for an experienced data engineer with proven ML/AI experience and comfort working within an AI native environment.
• Ability and/or willingness to utilize Camunda’s product.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Engineering or Machine Learning.
• Strong data modeling skills and several years of experience with dbt (data build tool).
• An ownership mindset, contributing to a small team proud of its accomplishments.
• Extensive experience in deploying, operating, and evolving data pipelines in the cloud, covering both batching and streaming processes.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform.
• Strong communication skills, with a passion for sharing knowledge and fostering collaborative learning.
• A commitment to clean code, demonstrating adeptness at writing automated tests to maintain codebase quality and product excellence.

What We Have to Offer

Compensation

We provide competitive, fair, and transparent compensation. Salary ranges are location based, with Standard and Major markets (global tech hubs) reflecting local competition. The Annual Total Target Cash (base salary + 100% variable target, where applicable) shown below spans from the minimum in a Standard market to the maximum in a Major market. Final offers depend on skills, experience, and location, and we typically hire in the first half of the range to allow room for growth:

• United States: $143,800.00 to $231,900.00
• United Kingdom: £90,300.00 to £148,500.00
• Singapore: S$178,600.00 to S$267,900.00

If you are based elsewhere, you will be hired via Remote.com (our global employer partner), and your Talent Acquisition Partner will provide a personalized Total Rewards Calculator after your first interview.
