Role Overview

Raya is hiring a Senior Analytics Manager to build and lead company-wide analytics efforts. This hands-on leadership role will partner with Product, Business, Machine Learning, and Data Engineering teams to deliver strategic analytics, build self-serve tools, and drive data-informed decisions across the company. The ideal candidate has led analytics teams in high-growth environments and is comfortable doing both people leadership and individual contributor work.

Responsibilities

  • Team leadership and hiring - Manage, hire, and mentor a team of analysts and data scientists, fostering a culture that balances scrappiness with rigorous analysis.
  • Analytics roadmap - Develop and own the analytics roadmap, prioritizing strategic projects that align with company goals.
  • High-impact analytics - Own and execute complex strategic analytics initiatives that drive measurable business impact.
  • Tool selection and governance - Select analytics tools and define best practices for their use across the organization.
  • Self-serve analytics - Champion a data-driven culture by enabling teams with self-serve tools and dashboards.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience managing an analytics or data science team, ideally in a B2C tech company.
  • Hands-on leader, willing to do individual contributor work when needed (this role is approximately 50% IC).
  • Expert in SQL and strong knowledge of statistics.
  • Hands-on experience with modern BI and data visualization tools, for example Looker or comparable platforms.
  • Experience with A/B testing platforms and experimentation frameworks, for example Eppo, Optimizely, LaunchDarkly, or Statsig.
  • Python or R experience is a plus.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to convey complex concepts verbally and through documentation and reports.
