Product Manager for Spark Projects at Supabase at Supabase

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our Product Team at Supabase. The goal is to lead the development of a new Supabase project type specifically designed for how AI agents utilize infrastructure.

As agents generate an unprecedented volume of software, every prototype, preview, and experiment requires a backend solution from inception. Spark projects allow for rapid provisioning in seconds, scaling down when idle, and remaining cost-effective for liberal use, all while maintaining the familiar Supabase interface for agents.

The Role

This role is pivotal in establishing Spark as the standard starting point for agent-built software and defining the lifecycle of these projects as they mature from early experiments into full-scale production workloads on the Supabase platform.

Responsibilities

• Own the entire product strategy and roadmap for Spark projects, guiding them from initial MVP through to general availability.
• Make the Spark experience seamless and effortless for AI agents and the platforms they run on, ensuring a backend exists the moment an idea is conceived.
• Define the complete path for project progression, including mechanisms for claiming, upgrading, and scaling projects onto the full Supabase ecosystem.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Growth, and Finance to shape the packaging and pricing model, ensuring Spark remains economical even at massive scale.
• Partner closely with Supabase for Platforms customers to deeply understand their needs and prioritize bringing Spark to them first.
• Define success metrics, instrument them comprehensively from end to end, and utilize data to continuously inform future development decisions.

Who You Should Be

• You possess 5 or more years of experience in product management within the developer tools or infrastructure space, OR you are an ex-founder with exceptionally strong product intuition.
• You hold a strong, well-defined perspective on agent driven development and its implications for what developers and platforms require from a backend service.
• You are comfortable navigating AI Evals, controlled experimentation, and rigorous data analysis.
• You are naturally biased toward speed, prioritizing shipping, learning, and iterating over achieving a perfect specification upfront.
• You possess a builder's mentality, preferring to build with what you control and forming opinions through first-hand usage.
• You leverage AI tools effectively to streamline research, drafting, and feedback synthesis, allowing you to focus on high level judgment calls.
• You thrive in an asynchronous work environment, making decisions clearly in writing within a fully remote team structure.
