What You Will Work On

We are looking for a part-time Contract 2D Designer to assist with various graphics across VRChat until the end of the year. This role requires a multi-talented designer who excels at creating polished, high impact visuals for any context. Your responsibilities will include:

• Storefront Thumbnails for all store listings.
• Creating store bundle graphics that clearly illustrate included items while remaining effective at small sizes.
• Developing bundle theming to ensure each bundle has a unique look that still fits the store aesthetic.
• Designing background graphics.
• Creating an icon for each bundle for navigation tiles.
• Designing mobile versions of marketing assets.
• Producing social posts and announcement graphics.
• Designing blog headers and static graphics for videos, such as title cards, overlays, and end screens.
• Creating assets for Steam, Meta, and other platforms, ensuring they meet each platform's specific size and specification requirements.
• Designing in-app banners for events and other promotions within our homeworld.
• Creating notification graphics, ensuring assets are legible at in-app sizes and integrate well with the surrounding UI.
• Designing in-world signage and posters, including textures and other 2D art used inside the worlds.

How You Will Work

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A portfolio showcasing a range of 2D work, ideally featuring marketing graphics and UI or storefront assets.
• Experience designing for small sizes and multiple formats, such as icons, thumbnails, and mobile layouts.
• Comfort working within an established brand while ensuring every piece of artwork maintains its own character.
• Proficiency in exporting assets to platform specifications for stores and social media channels.
• Strong communication skills and comfort with rapid feedback cycles and shifting priorities.
• Meticulous file habits, including consistent naming and organized, layered source files.
• Strong proficiency in design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or alternatives.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with VRChat or social VR environments.
• Experience creating textures for real time 3D environments, especially using Unity.
