The Role: Marketing Associate
Marketers at Canonical are crucial brand stewards and demand generators, adept at translating complex open source technology into compelling messages, stories, and market-shaping strategies. Our marketing team specializes in areas like differentiated product and portfolio positioning, account based engagement, partner and alliance messaging, or product led growth. Each marketer contributes to a cross functional unit, delivering campaigns and insights that accelerate company growth. We prioritize action, focus on high impact activities, take ownership of our results, and operate with a bias for data driven experimentation. We navigate long buying cycles, balance narrative with analytics, design experiments, track outcomes, and iterate rapidly. Our marketers don't just promote open source; they amplify it, ensuring our innovations reach the right audiences, from developers to decision makers, with clarity and purpose. As a Marketing Associate, you will be actively involved from day one, collaborating with various teams to transform technical innovations into market value.
Location: This role is based remote globally.
What your day will look like:
- Go to Market Support: Contribute to the planning and execution of go to market strategies.
- Storytelling: Draft and edit impactful messaging and positioning that effectively highlights business value for diverse target audiences.
- Campaign Coordination: Assist in developing campaign plans and content dissemination strategies to ensure optimal message reach.
- Cross Functional Collaboration: Partner with demand generation and digital teams to help optimize marketing funnels and monitor campaign performance.
- Event & Social Support: Collaborate with the broader marketing team to coordinate webinars, events, and social media promotions.

Your base pay will be determined by factors such as your geographical location, experience level, knowledge, and skills.
