About You
You are someone who deeply believes in the transformative power of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create innovative, engaging, and insightful products and services for humanity. Ideally, you are passionate about applying these skills within the realm of chess.
What you'll do
- Own ML-driven product features: Identify opportunities, then lead through modeling, deployment, experimentation, and impact assessment.
- Partner strategically: Collaborate with Product, Leadership, Growth, and Data Science teams to determine suitable ML applications, define success metrics, and iterate based on real-world performance.
- Design and build scalable ML systems: Develop and ship robust systems, including data pipelines, training workflows, and production model serving infrastructure.
- Prototype and iterate rapidly: Develop repeatable evaluation frameworks, conduct experiments, and continuously improve models based on results.
- Shape ML architecture and MLOps: Establish standards for experimentation, deployment, monitoring, and retraining processes to support scaling efforts.
- Drive Generative AI innovation: Explore and implement how Large Language Models (LLMs) and intelligent agents can create new user experiences and enhance internal productivity.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship: Guide junior team members, influence the company's roadmap, and raise overall AI/ML literacy across the organization.
Preferred Skills
- Over 5 years of proven, hands-on experience building scaled ML systems, training large ML models, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 1 year of dedicated AI engineering experience.
- Strong technical proficiency and sound judgment in coding, testing, and developing for scale.
- Solid practical and theoretical knowledge of Machine Learning, coupled with a working understanding of the AI application stack and lifecycle, particularly concerning foundation models from evaluation to deployment.
- A high sense of ownership and a strong drive to deliver significant impact within a fast-paced, evolving, and sometimes ambiguous environment.
