Product Manager at Applaudo

What you bring to Applaudo:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Senior-level experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or related fields, preferably with 5 or more years of relevant experience.
• A proven track record of making strategic product decisions, managing priorities, evaluating scope, and effectively balancing business needs against delivery constraints.
• Strong expertise in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, including business rules, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
• Demonstrated experience managing product roadmaps, prioritizing necessary features, and supporting product delivery through the entire development lifecycle and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of facilitating discussions, managing expectations, negotiating scope changes, and aligning business units with technical teams.
• The ability to proactively identify gaps, clarify vague requirements, anticipate edge cases, and assess the impact of changes across scope, dependencies, and priorities.
• Experience collaborating directly with Developers and QA Engineers to clarify technical requirements and validate solutions against stated business needs.
• Working knowledge of software development processes, system dependencies, and technical concepts to effectively translate business needs into precise product requirements. Note: Programming experience is not required.
• Proven ability to create and maintain comprehensive product documentation, such as Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), user stories, acceptance criteria, and related artifacts.
• Practical experience using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or Gemini for research, requirement analysis, user story development, and product documentation, always validating outputs for accuracy.
• Familiarity with product management, ticketing, and documentation tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms for tracking requirements and ensuring traceability.

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• Experience operating within software development companies, software factories, or nearshore environments supporting multiple clients, products, or industries.
• Familiarity with business planning solutions involving revenue forecasting, financial planning, sales forecasting, demand planning, budgeting, etc.
• Knowledge of business process mapping and visualization tools like Miro, Lucidchart, FigJam, or Microsoft Whiteboard.
• Experience utilizing design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Figma Make, or Claude Design to visually communicate product concepts and workflows.
• Experience defining or managing AI enabled product features, including AI augmentation, predictive analytics, or machine learning applications.
• Experience overseeing products through their complete lifecycle, from initial discovery and development right through to production and continuous improvement.

What you will be accountable for:

• Partnering with business stakeholders to deeply understand business objectives, workflows, requirements, and desired outcomes.
• Translating complex business needs into precise, actionable product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
• Evaluating product requirements and priorities based on measured business value, stakeholder demands, dependencies, scope, and overall delivery feasibility.
• Proactively finding missing information, resolving ambiguities, identifying conflicting expectations, defining business rules, and recognizing edge cases before development commences.
• Maintaining accurate and fully traceable product documentation, covering requirements, meeting summaries, approved decisions, and all scope adjustments.
• Leading discussions between business stakeholders and technical teams to achieve clarity on expectations, resolve questions, and secure agreement on product requirements.
• Reviewing change requests, clearly communicating their impact on scope, priorities, dependencies, and delivery timelines, and formally documenting all agreed upon outcomes.
• Collaborating closely with Developers and QA Engineers to clarify expected system behavior, investigate blockers, and ensure technical solutions align perfectly with approved requirements.
• Supporting product roadmap planning and ongoing prioritization to ensure informed decisions regarding product evolution and delivery cadence.
• Assisting in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by validating business scenarios, reviewing reported defects, clarifying expected behavior, and determining if issues fall within the agreed-upon scope.
• Applying AI tools to boost research, information analysis, requirement refinement, user story creation, and product documentation, while consistently validating results for precision and relevance.
• Following up on outstanding questions, pending decisions, dependencies, and action items to maintain strong stakeholder alignment and support timely delivery targets.
