About the Role
Dandy is seeking its founding XDR to establish the top of the funnel for a new vertical, building it from the ground up. This is a 0-to-1 role, meaning you will be the inaugural sales hire in this position. You will be responsible for identifying effective strategies, codifying the sales playbook, and establishing the foundational structure for future team members. This role involves direct collaboration with senior leadership to refine messaging, experiment with various channels, and generate the pipeline necessary to fuel Dandy's next phase of hypergrowth.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the initial point of contact for prospective clients within a newly launched vertical.
- Utilize email, phone, and other innovative channels to engage prospective clients through outbound outreach tactics.
- Develop and continuously refine the outbound playbook, including sequences, scripts, targeting strategies, and objection handling techniques.
- Monitor and track sales activities using Salesforce and other software tools, contributing to the definition of data-driven success metrics.
- Effectively overcome objections, articulate Dandy's value proposition, and advance prospects through the sales process.
- Work collaboratively with senior leadership to achieve high-level Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and revenue targets.
- Partner with Account Executives on client handoffs and integrate insights back into product development, marketing, and Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of XDR, BDR, or SDR experience within a high-growth startup environment, with a strong preference for SaaS experience.
- Demonstrated experience in launching outbound efforts into a new vertical, market, or product; you have been among the first in such a role and understand the effort required to build from scratch.
- Strong capabilities in cold-calling, with SMB experience being a significant advantage.
- Comfort operating without a predefined playbook, with the ability to create the playbook as you progress.
- Adept at navigating ambiguity and quickly adapting with limited resources.
- Proficiency with standard sales tools and an eagerness to explore and implement new tools to optimize the sales process.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and a desire to learn new sales concepts through rigorous training.
- Overall proven track record of professional and academic success.
